Hi, I'm Rowahr - yes, a unique name indeed! The pronounciation requires a bit of explanation. The first syllable, Ro, is pronounced as in "row" but with a rolling R). For the second part, which is emphasized, you extend the "ah" sound. So think rro-wAAHr, if that makes sense 😉

I'm originally from the Netherlands, which is the place where I first got into contact with the art of ceramics. At the time, I only worked with ceramics occasionally. Although the interest was already there I did not pursue it any further, mostly due to a lack of time and available tools and resources. My recent move to Portugal, however, sparked a renewed interest and drive to bring my passion for ceramics to the next level. Nowadays, I enjoy making a wide variety of pieces, practicing a lot and learning about the intricate techniques along the way.

I've launched this website for a couple of reasons. First of all, it provides an impressions of the pieces I have made so far (check out the Catalogue page). Second of all, in the future this website will give you the opportunity to buy the pieces I've put up for sale!
